Biography

Hi, I'm Yikai Zhu. I received my Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2023. Before that, I earned my Bachelor's degree from Peking University in 2020. Between 2020 and 2021, I worked at ByteDance during my gap year, and after graduating from UCLA I joined Alibaba, where I worked from July 2023 to June 2025.

My interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and high-performance computing. I currently focus on building efficient systems for generative AI, and I maintain SpecForge, an open-source training framework for speculative decoding. I also enjoy learning and contributing to open-source projects in my spare time.

你好，我是 Yikai Zhu。我于 2023 年在加州大学洛杉矶分校（UCLA）获得计算机科学硕士学位，在此之前于 2020 年从北京大学本科毕业。2020 到 2021 年间隔年期间我曾在字节跳动工作，从 UCLA 毕业后加入阿里巴巴，工作时间为 2023 年 7 月至 2025 年 6 月。

我的兴趣集中在机器学习与高性能计算的交叉领域，目前专注于为生成式 AI 构建高效的系统，同时维护开源投机解码训练框架 SpecForge，业余时间也喜欢学习和参与开源项目。
